Public transport systems tend to work in one of the toughest environments. They are often exposed to the elements and invariably have very heavy passenger usage (18 to 20 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days per year). It is not uncommon for these systems to have to meet stringent customer specifications and standards. We have considerable experience in the technical equipment compliance to these standards and codes, as part of the design and delivery process. We have particularly strong experience on the London Underground network.

Technical interpretation and selection of compliant equipment is the first essential step in delivering a successful system. Understanding changes in the specifications and standards, meeting inspection criteria and delivering within programme, are all elements required to allow stations to open to the public on time.
